Phoenix Marketing Services expands production capabilities with the addition of a 10-color Mitsubishi Tandem Perfector, Double Coater Printing Press

Claremont, Calif., May 22, 2007 — Phoenix Marketing Services recently expanded its commercial printing production capabilities with the acquisition of a 10-color Mitsubishi Diamond 3000TP Tandem Perfector with twin coating units. Employing the latest in printing technology, the press is perfect for printing high-end commercial products.
The 40-inch dedicated perfector will allow Phoenix Marketing Services to print and coat both sides of a sheet in one pass for maximum speed, efficiency, and market flexibility. It is the first 10-color Tandem Perfector incorporating the double-coater configuration in the United States.

The Tandem Perfector’s three-cylinder transfer system, called the Translink unit, enables the printing of both sides of paper or other material in a single pass without the need for tumbling the sheet. With the double-coater arrangement, tower coaters are located before and after the Translink unit.
